They're destroying the first 93 Vipers ever built. Including an VIN No. 004—a preproduction model, and the fourth car built. OH THE HUMANITY!!! But there's a petition to save the VIN No.004 model. Come and sign it. Petition: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

I'm convinced Chrysler wants everyone to forget it made a cool car since now everything is just rubbish.

Just help spread the word! I don't even like the viper as much as other cars, But I madly respect what the Viper can do.

I'd have to disagree. Chrysler products have been getting better and better since 2011. I mean the Dart was a bit of a flop but even that is better than what it replaced.

Dodge is getting a bit better, but it's still not the best. They are pretty decent for dollar to power ratio though.

how is that even possible? everyone, mega-corporations like Fiat/Chrysler included, complain about how broke they are. and here they are destroying valuable collector pieces...

Exactly how else can you get a powerful V8 and AWD for less than 35,000. You even get a heated steering wheel!

It's all explained in the link at the bottom of my post. It has to do with the cars not being street legal, and few of them finding their way to the road. Two accidents, and the lawyers want to take these cars back from the community colleges and mechanics school where they serve a purpose and crush them. The only thing about them that isn't legal is They were built without emission control systems or speed limiters.

I did say they were one of the best HP to dollar values out there. But get an old Audi, or bmw, or anything with a nice interior, put a v8 in there, and you're set. But if you just want to buy a car, they are one of the best cars out there. But let's face it, do you really need a heated steering wheel? I do understand the point of heated leather seats though.

still not getting it... the Porsche 959's were in a similar non-legal state, but they were exempt under the "Show and Display" clause that it seems like these Vipers would fall under. not that they should be street legal, but I can't imagine that there aren't collectors or automotive museums that would display them.

I agree, but apparently it's because they were being used by people as road car, also because the lawyers feel they should just be crushed and are heartless little men who do not understand the true value of these cars. They just see them as numbers. That's why there is the petition though. But how likely is is that they will actually listen to us? But that is a good idea. Write a letter. No like seriously, write a letter. That might actually work.
Here's a joke though: What happens when you give a lawyer viagra?
He get's taller. lol.
